Valerie Creighton, D.V.M.
Dr. Creighton received her DVM degree from U.C. Davis in 1984, then completed a clinical internship in small animal medicine and surgery at the West Los Angeles Veterinary Medical Group.
She is a fellow of the Academy of Feline Medicine, and served for several years as the Secretary/Treasurer of the American Association of Feline Practitioners, an organization of veterinarians passionate about the health and well-being of cats. Dr. Creighton is married, with two wonderful adult stepdaughters. She has retired now from seeing medical cases, but still leads the practice and is often on hand.
Karen Lovelace, D.V.M.
Dr. Lovelace earned her D.V.M. degree from Kansas State University in 2004. Prior to joining The Cat Doctor, she spent three years at a renowned feline specialty practice in San Antonio, TX. She enjoys writing and editing, and has had several chapters published in a popular clinical textbook on feline medicine, as well as original material published in a journal for veterinary pathology. She spends her free time cooking, volunteering in the community, traveling and visiting with family, friends and her own three cats. She is firmly committed to feline specialty practice, and we are delighted to have her as a full-time member of our veterinary staff now!
Lisa Goldstein, D.V.M.
Dr. Goldstein received her D.V.M. degree from Oregon State University in 1997. She has a special interest in holistic and complementary feline medicine, particularly in the areas of homeopathy and acupuncture, for which she became certified in 2002. Prior to joining The Cat Doctor, she practiced in both southern California and Oregon. A freelance writer, she has been published in several veterinary magazines. Dr. Goldstein competes in triathlons and adventure races; she also enjoys mountain biking, as well as hiking, running, and spending time with her cats, dog and husband James.
